    My family and I are coming to WDW in early March 2012. We are staying at the Contemporary. I will be in training for a half marathon and really don't want to lose a week of running while on vacation. Are there any running trails around the Contemporary?

    Hi Douglas,

    Way to go on training for a half marathon -- maybe you'll want to add the Disney half marathon to your list next year!  While the Contemporary Resort doesn't have an official running trail, some guests opt to run on the brick walkway that leads from the resort to the Magic Kingdom.  It goes past the Magic Kingdom continuing along the Seven Seas Lagoon ending at a small canal; the path is about 1.5 miles long.  However, it is a popular path with guests traveling to and from the Magic Kingdom as well as guests entering the park.  If you'd prefer more privacy, you can ride the monorail to the Polynesian Resort where there is a jogging path around the resort that measures 1.5 miles. You could obtain a copy of the map from the front desk at the resort.   Another option is to take advantage of the Olympiad Fitness Center at the Contemporary Resort.
