Our family is coming to WD aug 20 for my daughters sweet 16. She is not really into characters. Can you suggest anything I can do to specialize the trip for her? We are staying at the art of animation in the lion king family suites.

Walt Disney World is a wonderful place to celebrate your daughter's  more grown up Sweet 16 birthday. No characters necessary.

For a special celebration try a more adult meal at Disney's Contemporary Resort's California Grill. This Signature Dining restaurant has amazing food and a spectacular view of the Magic Kingdom. Located on the 15th floor this restaurant has a balcony where you can view the fireworks show after you dine. Order your daughter a birthday cake to be served at the end of your meal by calling the Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253.

Consider a mother and daughter spa treatment at The Spa at Disney's Saratoga Springs. A facial and mani pedi would be a grownup, relaxing treat for a teenage girl's birthday. Call (407) 827-4455 to make reservations.

La Nouba, an extraordinary presentation by Cirque du Soleil, would be such a unique way to celebrate. The live music, acrobatics, incredible performance feats make this show like no other.  The title means "to party, to live it up" an apt slogan for a birthday celebration. Reservations can be made by calling (407) 939-7600.

Your daughter is not too old for a happy birthday celebration button! Pick one up at Guest Services.
