Hi there, Larry! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question and let me offer you a hearty, "
Welcome Home" from one
Disney Vacation Club Member to another.
Larry, I was so excited to be able to answer this question as I just came home from a five-night stay at
Disney's Old Key West Resort. With its charming architecture, walking paths and of course... the
Sandcastle Pool, you really will start feeling those island vibes the moment you check-in.
Larry, if you are using your Disney Vacation Club points to secure your reservation and you have booked a room in the category "
near the Hospitality House," I would recommend requesting building 12 or 13. These buildings are a quick stroll from the main entrance and convenient if you want to pop into
Conch Flats General Store for some essentials or indulge in some famous fried chicken over at
Olivia's Cafe. You will also find they are just steps from the Hospitality House bus stop.
However, if you booked a room without the designation near the Hospitality House, I would recommend requesting building 23 or 26. These buildings are very convenient to the
Peninsular Road bus stop (
which is the first stop when heading to and returning from the theme parks) and still an easy walk to the Hospitality House and all the ammenities! Larry, keep in mind that while requests aren't guaranteed, but I'll be crossing my fingers and toes that Tinker Bell works her Magic and sprinkles some pixie dust over your vacation.
Larry, I hope this helps as you are dreaming about your March vacation. Please stop back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have.
Wishing you a vacation full of unforgettable moments...
Key West style!
Lauren
