Hi there my family and I are coming October 2016 we have two girls ages 9 and 6 is animal kingdom worth going to? we heard there are not that many animals??

    Hello Casey,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! October is a fantastic month to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! The Parks are decked out in their Fall finest, and two of my favorite seasonal activities take place during the month; Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. You're going to have a wonderful time!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a beautiful and unique Park and it's just perfect for the ages of your girls. It's absolutely worth visiting. There are a lot of Attractions, animals, and plenty of Entertainment that both you and your daughters will enjoy. I suggest arriving at the Park as early in the day as possible (at Park opening or before to avoid the initial lines) and making FastPass+ reservations ahead of time for Kilimanjaro Safaris (you'll see plenty of exotic animals) and Festival of The Lion King. Your girls will also love Conservation Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, and Maharajah Jungle Trek. There are plenty of animals to see on the Trail and on the Trek and lots of fun activities at Conservation Station.

I hope this information helps. Please let us know if you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
