Greetings, Lisette. Your Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it. I am so excited for you!
I try to arrive as early as possible to our resort on check in day to soak up all of the Disney magic and pixie dust I can. I love checking in to the resort and getting my refillable mug to fill up from the food court. When I have that mug in hand, my vacation has truly started. Then my family and I like to head to Downtown Disney to pick up a few goodies to kick off our vacation like a new autograph book, a fun Mickey pen and some
trading pins. Our check in day lunch is always at Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. Don't let the long time stop you from dining there, it's long for a reason - it's so good! After our bellies are full and we've gotten our souvenir fix, we head back to the resort for an afternoon swim. To end our evening, we like to make dinner reservations at '
Ohana located inside Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Here's a tip - If you want to see fireworks while you are dining at 'Ohana, try to get a dinner reservation for about an hour before the nighttime firework show at Magic Kingdom. While you are finishing you meal with dessert, the lights will dim and music from the show gets piped in. If you request a window table, you will have a great view! It's a perfect way to end the first day at Walt Disney World.
I hope this gives you some ideas on how to kick off your vacation! If you have any other questions before you arrive, please come back and ask.
