Hey there, hi there, Kristen!
Thank you for bringing your excellent question to planDisney.
We love discussing your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I’m ecstatic to learn you’re planning to visit with your family!
Kristen, rather than a MagicBand+ or the
Disney MagicMobile service, I’m happy to tell you that you can also opt for a physical admission card for Guests in your party to use. These are available at any of the ticket booth windows located at all four theme park entrances. If you’re staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, you can also stop by the front desk to request Key to the World cards. They operate not only as your Resort hotel room key but also as a theme park ticket (as long as
valid admission is linked) and your pass into Lightning Lane entrances.
Tweens love a bit of freedom; as my own Mouseketeers get older, I’ve started giving them their own Disney Gift Cards with a set amount for them to spend. Whether they choose snacks or souvenirs, it’s a great way to teach them to manage their funds while we’re having fun. If you head to the
Disney Gift Card website, you’ll be able to create a profile and add the Disney Gift Cards there. The website is not a payment method, so you'll have to be sure to keep the physical gift cards on you, but it allows you to keep track of where you’re spending your Disney Gift Card, and it allows you to combine and transfer funds on the cards.
Adventure is out there for your tweens! You may find the
Planning Guide for Tweens helpful as you plan all the awesome details for your vacation. If your Mouseketeers are into thrill rides, I recommend looking into
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise at Magic Kingdom Park! Both these attractions are highly sought-after and are only available by opting to join the
Virtual Queue or by purchasing
Individual Lightning Lane entrances.
Wishing you and your family an enchanting visit, Kristen!
