I have family coming in and they want to go to the Magic Kingdom on Friday 19th October. IF we go on that date do we have to leave the park early becuase of the Mickey Halloween Party or can we stay in the park and see the Halloween party?

Hi Anne Marie and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You must live close to Walt Disney World! It's always nice to have family visit and it's such a bonus for you to be able to experience Walt Disney World Resort with them. Magic Kingdom Park does close to day guests at 6 p.m. on nights when Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be taking place. If you do not have a party ticket, you will be gently directed to the front of the park to allow you to exit.

If your family has their hearts set on Magic Kingdom Park, I would plan to arrive early to make the most of your day. Maybe you could plan for a special dinner at one of the resorts or at one of the restaurants at Disney Springs. If your family is open to suggestions, I would suggest choosing another park to visit. You could taste some of the delicious offerings at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival or perhaps visit the new Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Anne Marie, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
    Wishing you many magical visits,
    Amy H.
