    My family & I are coming to DW Dec 13-21. With 17 ppl can't afford Mickey's Very Merry Christmas but my family is on the dining plan. Can we see the fireworks if we do the Spirit of Aloha 8 p.m. show? Around what time do they shoot the fireworks?

    Hi Melissa!

    This is a great question.

    The normal Wishes fireworks show in the Magic Kingdom is typically around 10:00 pm in mid-December.  However, the special Holiday Wishes shown during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is typically around 9:30 pm. 

    The Spirit of Aloha show is about 2 hours long and you really can't see the fireworks from the show, though you could leave the show area and head down to the beach if you really want to see them.  My advice would be to do the Spirit of Aloha show on a non-Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party night.  Then go back to the Polynesian on a party night and watch the show from the beach near the volcano pool.  It is a lot of fun watching the fireworks from the Polynesian.  You won't have any problem returning to the Polynesian if you use Disney transportation!  If you drive your own car, you might not be able to park there without a dining reservation; it really depends on how crowded the Polynesian is when you visit.
