Greetings, Adrianne! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!
You must be getting so excited – your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is just days away! I’m so glad that you’ve been studying the entertainment schedule to help you plan out your days. You are correct that there currently aren’t any parades on the calendar for your travel dates. At Disneyland Park, part of the parade route is under refurbishment and both parks are preparing for Pixar Fest in April which will welcome the return of two popular parades: Pixar Play Parade and Paint the Night. So while there aren’t any parades occurring during your trip, there are lots of other entertainment options in both parks and some of them even offer a chance to see or interact with characters. Here are a few of my top picks:
-
The Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off! happens several times throughout the day in Disney California Adventure Park. Star-Lord and Gamora want you to showcase your best dance moves and Groot even stops by at the end.
-Storytelling at the Royal Theatre in Fantasy Faire offers really cute retellings of Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. These shows are super fun for kids and pretty dang funny for parents also. Belle and Rapunzel make appearances in the show and will occasionally greet Guests afterward.
-On the last day of your trip, be sure to stop in for a performance of
Mickey and the Magical Map. This show features tons of music and characters from beloved Disney movies and it’s perfect for the whole family.
I hope this gives you some ideas of a few fun things to experience next week. See ya real soon!
