My family is coming down to Disneyland on October 6 through 9, 2025 tentatively. I understand weather affects fireworks, but how many nights do you do fireworks during this timeframe?

Greetings, Crickett, and welcome to planDisney! You're in for a treat – your upcoming visit falls during Halloween Time. You'll encounter hand-carved pumpkins, festive transformations of popular attractions, themed treats, and a spirited atmosphere that makes the parks feel even more magical. One of the highlights for me is the Halloween Screams show, which has fireworks on select nights. Let's talk about what we know now and when we'll learn more!

In past years, fireworks have typically been scheduled for weekends (Fridays – Sundays) and holidays in October. That said, we won’t know for sure what this year’s entertainment schedule looks like until the Hours & Events Calendar is updated. Information is generally available as far as six weeks out, so you should be able to see details for your trip by the last week of August. On nights without fireworks, you will still be able to enjoy the soundtrack and projections of Halloween Screams. However, if fireworks are high on your list, you might want to consider shifting your travel dates slightly into the weekend for the best chance of seeing them. As you mentioned, fireworks can be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances, so just be mindful of that.

Crickett, have you ever seen the Paint the Night parade? If you haven't (or even if you have), make sure to add it to your list! Performances of this dazzling nighttime show will continue during Halloween Time. It features more than a million LED lights and a soundtrack that’ll have you dancing along. You'll be asking, "When can we do this again?"

You can also consider going to the Oogie Boogie Bash while you are in town – there are events scheduled for October 7 and 9. It's a great opportunity to get in the spirit of Halloween and see California Adventure in a whole new way. There are treat trails, rare Character appearances, special entertainment, Guests in costume, and more. Tickets are on sale now, so get them soon if this is something you're interested in.

Crickett, I hope you have an amazing visit to the Disneyland Resort this fall. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    Wishing you a spellbinding visit,
