My family and I are coming to Disneyworld in January.  My wife and I are celebrating 21 years of marriage. I was wondering if the parks are very crowded this time of year and what are the average temps.

    Hi Norman,

Happy Anniversary from all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. What a wonderful way to celebrate than in this magical place.

January is a wonderful time to visit. Other than the weekend of the Walt Disney World Marathon (Jan 8-12, 2014), crowds will generally be quite low. This doesn't mean that there won't be any crowds at all, but I have always found that January has very manageable crowds.

Not only are the parks less crowded but the weather is quite mild as well. Average temperatures are highs in the low 70s and lows in the low 50s. Again, this is the average and weather can be unpredictable, but as long as you pack in layers and bring a jacket and or long pants for the evenings and early mornings, you should be fine. This is also a time of year when the rainfall is typically its lowest in Florida.

Happy planning and please stop by with more questions. We're always here to help.
