Our family is coming to Disneyworld over Christmas. There are 6 of us, but my son is going to have to stay home because he has to work. He is a First Responder. Do I just loose all the money for his tickets or can I get any refund?

    Hi Larry! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so sorry to hear that your son isn't able to join you on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! He has such an important job and, understandably, he is needed at home. I know the rest of your family will have a fantastic visit, though, and can hopefully bring your son back some fun souvenirs to let him know you were thinking of him!

Typically, Walt Disney World theme park tickets are non-refundable. However, they can be used towards a ticket purchase on a future visit. The purchase price of your wholly unused ticket can be applied towards to cost of another ticket and all you need to pay is the difference in cost. It is a great excuse to visit again!

With such a unique situation, I would recommend calling Disney directly at (407) 934-7639 to discuss your options. Be prepared for the answer I gave you above, but it never hurts to ask to see if an exception can be made!

I hope you have the BEST vacation, Larry! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
