My family and I are coming to Disney World soon. I am wondering if I will be able to ride the rides. I am very plus size and I am afraid I wont fit on the rides. Is there a weight limit? Do the safety bars accommodate a large person?

Hello Kari, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an important planning question.

I am so happy to hear that you and your family will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon. You will have a magical time filled with memories that you will treasure.

I am a Pooh sized guest myself, and I can say that your comfort and safety are a priority during your visit. There are no “weight limits” for rides or attractions. You should note that there are a handful of rides where a ride vehicle or restraints may be uncomfortable for Pooh sized guests. Thrill rides may be the only time were a guest of size may have an issue experiencing a ride safely. Most of these attractions may have a sample ride vehicle at the attraction entrance. I would suggest checking with a Cast Member to test the sample seat before you enter the ride queue. There have also been times where I can safely and comfortably experience an attraction but needed more time boarding or exiting a ride. Cast Members have gone the extra mile to make sure that I was able to enjoy my experience as much as every other guest. If you have mobility issues, you may want to refer to the guide for guests with mobility issues to help with your planning.
