My family and I will be coming to Disney in a week and will be using the Disney Dining Plan. I am trying no to gain too much weight during our stay and was wondering if it is possible to swap something else for dessert in a counter serv or table serv meal?

Hi Angela (my fellow Canadian) ,

That is fantastic that you are being conscious of your health!!
I have great news, there are alot of healthy options at every meal for both table and counter service.
Disney has done a great job in adding healthy choices. You will have a good variety of healthy options to choose from.  When you go to eat you can always ask for a substitution. I have a couple of food allergies and I have no problem with having things changed or omitted. For dessert, there is usually fruit as an option.
Another tip is to always choose water as your beverage. Juice and pop are empty calories that add up. Try not to get tempted by the sweet treats like Mickey ice cream bars!
You will be doing a lot of walking but if you can visit the fitness center or do some kind of additional exercise during your stay you won't gain any extra weight.

    Thank you for your question.

Have a fun and healthy vacation!
