Hi Moms!!! our family will be coming to DISNEY this late august and our son will be turning 10! wow where did the time go? he doesn't know he is going this year, what can I do to make his 10th birthday great?

    HI Richard,

Sending a magical happy birthday to your soon-to-be 10 year old! A special trip to Walt Disney World is a gift that he will never forget. There are a few things you could do to make this an amazing double-digits birthday:

Ask for a birthday button! When you check into your Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to let the Cast Member know it's your son's birthday. They will give him a button for his special day, and everyone, at the resort and in the parks, will wish him a happy birthday! It's one of the best ways to have perfect strangers celebrate with you.

If you'd like to plan a big surprise for him, arrange for a special package to be delivered from Disney Floral and Gifts. From Mickey themed, to Star Wars themed, each package is gorgeous. The packages can be waiting in your resort room, or you can have it delivered to your home before you leave for your vacation.

One of the best things you can do to help celebrate his big day is to let him take charge once you arrive at the resort. One of the best things parents can do is let our kiddos decide what fun we'll have at Walt Disney World. I have to say, our best Disney Parks vacations have happened because we let our kids call the shots. I'm sure your son would LOVE this idea.

I hope this answer helps you, Richard. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask us anytime.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
