Our family will be coming to Disney in January of 2026. There will be 11-12 of us possibly. What do you suggest for accommodations? We are unable to book multiple rooms at once.

    Hi Aubree,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. Planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with a large family is such an exciting adventure, and the memories made together are absolutely priceless. We recently visited with both sets of grandparents, and there’s nothing quite like watching everyone enjoy rides, shows, and nighttime spectaculars together. The photos we came home with still bring a smile to my face!

When it comes to booking accommodations for a larger group like yours, there are a couple of great ways to go about it. While you won’t be able to book more than one room at a time online, you can make multiple reservations individually and then request that they be linked by calling the Walt Disney World Help Center and speaking with a friendly Cast Member in Ticket and Hotel Reservations. When you check in, ask the Cast Members to try to keep your rooms close together, and they’ll do their best to accommodate you. If you show some flexibility and are willing to wait to get your rooms, you may have better luck!

One option that might work for your group is booking two Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. These suites sleep up to six Guests each and include a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a living area with fun furniture that converts into beds. The theming is a big hit with families, with sections inspired by The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The resort is also conveniently connected to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios via the Disney Skyliner, making getting around both easy and fun.

If you're looking for more space and some extra in-room amenities, you might consider the Deluxe Villas available at Disney Vacation Club Resorts. The 1-, 2-, and 3-Bedroom Villas are designed with larger groups in mind. They feature full kitchens, in-room laundry, and spacious layouts with separate living and sleeping areas. It’s a fantastic way to combine the comforts of home with all the benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.

Once you’ve had a chance to decide whether you’d prefer to go the route of multiple standard rooms or explore Deluxe Villa accommodations, I’d love to help you narrow down the best resort for your family. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at nearly every Disney Resort, and I’d be happy to share some of my favorites to help you find the perfect fit for your trip.

    TTFN,
    Brent
