My family is coming to disney for the first time next month. Can you tell me what size the princess dresses come in. We have a daughter who wears a 10/12 and want to be sure that there will be a dress that fits her for us to buy.

    Hi Brett,

They do sell Princess dresses in a size 10/12,but to be honest with you,I would buy one while you're at home and bring it with you. There are a few reasons for me saying this and the first one is price!  You will pay dearly for your dress at WDW,they are much more than what you would be able to find at home (I used to buy my daughter's dresses for our WDW trips at Target before I left home...I could get them there for about $25.00 and a similar dress at WDW would have cost about $60.00 or more).  Yes, they may be a bit better quality, but for something she will outgrow very quickly and probably only wear a few times,I think quality for this item is not as important as the price. I did give her the option of buying an expensive dress at WDW or buying a cheaper one to bring with us and instead give her some pocket money for something else to buy at WDW....her choice was extra spending money!

Another reason would be to make sure that she actually gets one that she wants and likes. You may find yourself at WDW looking for a Princess Tiana dress, but they may be sold out or not available in her size and they may have lots of Ariel dresses available for example, but that may not be what your daughter would like (that's a lot of money to spend on something she really wouldn't want, I think).

Lastly,I have found their sizes at WDW to be much smaller than the actual size my daughter is used to at home.  When she was a 10/12 at home, I would have to buy her a size 14/16 at WDW or through the Disney Store so the item would fit her (and even then if it were pyjamas for example, the top was always still too small and the bottoms were always too large or too long). So, if it were me, I would buy the dress at home and bring it with you, but if she has her heart set on getting one at WDW then just know that they do sell size 10/12. Have a magical first trip to WDW!

    Best wishes,
