Hello! My family is coming in August and staying at the resorts Sat-Sat, with 5day tickets. We have the Disney Dining plan so we will have a lot of food options, i was just wonder how much we should budget for fun money while in the parks!

Hello there, Michelle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping by and asking your Walt Disney World Resort question!

It sounds as though you are off to a wonderful start in planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to pre-pay for your meals prior to arriving and decrease some of the stress of budgeting during your vacation. I love how easy the Disney Dining Plan makes ordering both snacks and meals without the stress of keeping track of how much money you’ve spent!

One of the great things about visiting Walt Disney World Resort is the ability to customize your experience! The variety of offerings available make it easy to spend more or less depending on your personal budget. I think a good plan for creating a budget is researching offerings and events available during your vacation and creating a list of things you and your family would like to do.

A good place to look over additional offerings is in the Enchanted Extras collection. This collection includes a variety of experiences that range from special dining experiences all the way to personal VIP tours. Once you’ve created your list, you can then add up the total amount each experience would cost in order to create a tentative budget.

This same process may be done when attempting to create a souvenir budget! I like to head over to the shopDisney page and look into which souvenirs I may be interested in purchasing during my trips. This helps give me an idea of how much each individual item may cost and a rough estimate of how much I may want to spend throughout my trip.

Hopefully, this has given you some ideas for creating your own Walt Disney World Resort vacation budget!
