My family and I are coming to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom for our first time! I heard that if you bring a reusable water bottle, you can refill it with water for free at drink stations. Is this accurate? Also, are you allowed to bring snacks?

Hi Meagan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is tomorrow! I am over-the-moon excited for you. It is a very special place to my family and I am smiling my biggest smile at the thought of your family walking into Magic Kingdom Park and seeing Cinderella Castle for the first time. Yay!

You'll be happy to know that you are welcome to bring in both water bottles and snacks! When you run out of water, simply visit any of the Quick-Service locations and request a cup of ice water ... they are complimentary! Then you can refill your water bottles that way. There are also water fountains located around the theme parks, but the cups of ice water are super refreshing in the Florida heat.

There are a few things you will want to avoid bringing into the theme parks when it comes to food and beverages: no glass containers (other than small items like baby food jars), no alcoholic beverages and no coolers or bags that are larger that 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Feel free to read through the Park Rules for more details.

I hope you and your family have the BEST first visit, Meagan! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
