Hi! My family has the choice to stay at the DBC standard rm. or Boardwalk Club lvl. Which one do you recommend? Kids(5&7) love to swim, but we're looking for something relaxing not too hectic. 1st vac. will probably spend lots of time @ the parks.

Welcome Alicia!  I am not clear what you mean by DBC but will assume it is the Beach Club resort.  Without a doubt I would recommend the Boardwalk Club level.  Although I have not stayed in the Boardwalk I have had the opportunity to stay on the club level of both the Beach and the Yacht Club.  You will get spoiled quickly!

There are many people who rate the Boardwalk club level as the best concierge service on property.  It has large common areas and great service.  You have the opportunity to have breakfast and snacks through-out the day as well as wine and appetizers and sweets in the evenings.  A concierge is there to help you with just about anything you need such as reservations and transportation.  The rooms are equipped with DVD players and there is a nice library of DVD's for your children to choose from.  The standard rooms at those three resorts will not have these perks.

The Boardwalk is a very relaxing resort so it sounds like it would fit your needs.  The pool is good but it is not quite as extensive as the Yacht and Beach. It is also usually not as crowded so that can be a positive point.  Your location to the parks from the Boardwalk is excellent as you can walk to the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT and also a short water taxi or mile long walk to Hollywood Studios.  My family loves the whole Boardwalk area!  The convenient location, the dining, and the evening magical entertainment is very special and unique.  Your family will have a wonderful vacation!
