My family of 6 + 1 of my children friends makes 7 people going to WDW on Dec 26-Dec 31. My question is I have just booked a 2 room at All Star Movie w/out the dining plan, should I add the dining plan I believe it to be a little over $1000 more to add

    Hi Patricia!

If you plan to eat most of your meals at the theme parks, then I think the dining plan would be a good option for your group. I like having the dining plan because most of our meals are prepaid in advance and we don't have to worry about what things cost while enjoying our trip. The plans also provide snack credits which come in handy when you need a bottle of water or someone wants a treat like some popcorn or an ice cream treat. These little purchases can add up quickly and it's nice to have them already taken care of.

Most of the counter service and table service restaurants at the parks and resorts accept the plan which gives you tons of choices of where to eat. I honestly feel it's the most convenient way to go and can really end up saving you a ton of money in the long run. Each time we've had the dining plan, we have saved money on our meals.

If you have several table service meals planned, I would absolutely add the dining plan. If you haven't made many ADRs yet, you might find limited availability this close to your travel dates. In this case I would look into the quick service dining plan which offers each person two counter service meals and two snacks for each night of your stay. Each person will also receive a refillable mug to be used for unlimited refills at your resort. The cost is $29.99 per night for adults and $8.99 a night for kids ages 3-9.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your vacation!
