Hiya Christian,
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that in less than 60-days you will be on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort?! I know you are going to have the most magical time!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties securing reservations for
Chef Mickey’s. After dining at
Steakhouse 71 during our last trip, we have added Chef Mickey’s to our dining wish list as well. The Banana Bread French Toast sounds fantastic. Luckily, Chef Mickey’s does accept walk-up reservations (when spots are available). To join the
Mobile Walk-Up List, you will need to utilize your
My Disney Experience mobile app. Once you open up the mobile app, click the magnifying glass on the bottom of your screen and search for Chef Mickey’s. The app will then show you the estimated wait time for Chef Mickey’s and whether or not the Walk-up List is at capacity. If the list isn’t at capacity, you can select the “Join Walk-Up List” button to add your party to the list (note that you will need to be close to the restaurant to join the list). Once your table is ready, you will receive either a text or a push notification in your app to proceed to the host stand.
Unfortunately, the Walk-Up List can be unavailable if the restaurant is at capacity for the day. So I recommend checking back later to see if dining reservations open up for Chef Mickey’s closer to your trip. As Guests change their plans, there is always a potential (though not guaranteed) that a spot will open up closer to your trip.
I hope that I have answered your question and that you can secure a reservation for Chef Mickey’s. If there is anything else I or any of my fellow panelists can do to help, please reach out to us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
