Welcome to planDisney, Johnny! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. The
Grand Floridian is one of my favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World, and I'm pleased to hear that you've got a visit planned this year! You're going to love the sophisticated vibes and, of course, the proximity to
Magic Kingdom.
At the moment, Disney hasn't announced an official end date for the renovations in the main building, but we do know that the Grand Floridian gingerbread display won't be returning for the 2025 holiday season. That's a pretty good indicator that construction will still be ongoing in the lobby during your stay in November and probably through the end of the year.
That said, Disney does an excellent job of making sure refurbishment work is as minimally disruptive as possible. You won't hear construction in the early morning or late at night. No one wants hammering to interrupt their beauty sleep or morning coffee! But it is likely that you'll notice work happening during the day while you're out and about. Partitions have been set up around the lobby to block off construction areas to keep the overall ambiance as peaceful and enjoyable as possible.
The upside is that staying in the main building still means you'll be right in the heart of the magic with easy access to dining, the
monorail, and that elegant Grand Floridian atmosphere. And who knows, there may be a fresh, newly renovated look in some areas by the time you arrive!
I hope this answers your question, Johnny, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
