My family has character dining at the Grand Californian Hotel for lunch. Although we are not guests at the Grand Californian, can we use the Grand Californian hotel entrnce to and from CA Adventure to get to and from the park from lunch?

Hello there, Marciano, and welcome to planDisney!

I’m excited for your upcoming meal at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! It sounds like you may be planning to experience Character Dining at Storytellers Cafe. I’m happy to report that you will be able to use the exclusive hotel entrance connecting Disney California Adventure Park and the Grand Californian before and after your meal at Storytellers Cafe. The entrance to the Grand Californian is located just across from Grizzly River Run, and is exclusive to hotel Guests; however, since you have a reservation to dine at Storytellers Cafe, you’ll be allowed to use it. Simply pass through the turnstiles for your dining reservation, then turn right when you get to the pathway. Make your next left, and Storytellers Cafe will be on your right-hand side, just across from the Pools at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. When you’re done, you can head back toward the special entrance into the theme park. You’ll pass through security again, and then show your tickets at the turnstiles to re-enter the theme park.

If you happen to be visiting during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort (which run through January 8, 2023), I highly recommend heading into the Great Hall lobby of the hotel – it’s decorated beautifully for the holidays! Take a seat in a rocking chair near the huge fireplace, or check out Acorns Gifts & Goods for some unique merchandise.

Wishing you a delicious meal and a magical getaway!

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
