Hi there, Emily! Welcome back to planDisney!
With this question, you've tapped into a few of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort topics- adults-only trips and holiday season! Combining the two sounds like a dream come true!
Early November is the beginning of an extra magical season. As soon as Halloween ends, Christmas and the winter holidays begin! You'll be there just in time to see the parks and resorts decked out in their holiday best. In fact- that is my first "must-do" for your trip! Take in all the sights, sounds, smells and joy spread around the parks in anticipation of the holidays. You absolutely must visit
Magic Kingdom Park to see the iconic decorations lining Main Street U.S.A. It'll also be worth it to check out the seasonal snack offerings available during this time of year. As your trip approaches, Disney Parks Blog usually releases a "Foodie Guide" for each special occasion at Walt Disney World. This
Foodie Guide to Holidays at Disney Springs and Parks from last year can help give you an idea of what to expect. Keep in mind that this is last year's guide, so the foods may be a bit different and the dates will be updated, too.
In the past, there has also been an after-hours celebration at Magic Kingdom Park on select evenings. Last year, it was the
Disney Very Merriest After Hours Event, a late night celebration offered on select nights in November and December. Guests had the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance in order to enter this exclusive celebration, experiencing shorter wait times for their favorite attractions, special shows and parades, a dazzling extra Nighttime Spectacular and drinks and snacks! Though we haven't heard what magic is in store for us yet this holiday season, I'm sure our friends over at Disney Parks Blog will share the news with us soon!
Emily, if I had to choose just ONE thing I'd never want to change at Walt Disney World, it is the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. This is perfect for an adults-only vacation. Your group can spend some time eating at
Global Marketplaces within the World Showcase, each with its own unique original and culinary mastery. I will warn you.. there is a lot of food! Chef Remy would be pleased! My husband and I take an annual trip during this Festival and when we're determined try a bite from every single Marketplace, we can be there from park open to park closing!
Fantasmic! is certainly a Guest-favorite and many of us are patiently awaiting its return. Unforunately, I do not have a direct line to Sorcerer Mickey to find out when he plans to wow us all again. Keep your eyes glued to
Disney Parks Blog as your trip approaches for the breaking news!
Emily, whatever choices you make for your upcoming trip, you are bound to make so many core memories! We're here at
planDisney whenever you need us! Tips, tricks, recommendations or just questions, we've got you covered.
Have a magical day,
Ashley
