Our family is going to celebrate thanksgiving on the dream! My niece & nephew are 15 & 10 while my son is 4. We chose the later diner seating & I'm worrying about this. 8:30 is late for my son to have supper. If we see this won't work, can we c

That's an awesome voyage that you've got planned for your family, Heidi!

Your holidays will be kicked off with a bang. So much fun and pampering are waiting to be made onboard the beautiful Disney Dream. Your vacation will be action packed and all the fixins will be ready for you. You won't even have to do anything in the kitchen - no cooking, no cleanup. You'll be waited on by your amazing dining team throughout your voyage!

If you think the late seating will be too late for your youngest cruiser, you should go ahead and check to see if you can be switched to the early dining schedule. Your change of schedule cannot be guaranteed, but the Disney cast members will try their very best to accommodate your request. If your reservation cannot be changed right now, you'll need to check with the restaurant managers on embarkation day. They usually will be available that same afternoon and will be in one of the restaurants or lounges. Check the Personal Navigator on the venue that afternoon once you get onboard, so that you can get that taken cared of first. It might be difficult to make the change after the 1st evening, since the rotations might already be finalized by then.

If you end up keeping your late dinner seating arrangement, hopefully, you can make some adjustments to your son's day so that he can keep awake. If he takes naps, that will surely be helpful, especially if you'd like him to join everyone at the dinner table. The Thanksgiving menu will surely be extra special for your whole family. If he gets hungry early and can't wait til dinner time, there are plenty of food choices available 24-hours a day with room service. They're a phone call away! Otherwise, there is quick service hot food by the pool deck - chicken nuggets, sandwiches, salads, burgers, hotdogs, pizza and fries. Something to hold him over until dinner.

I hope things work out for your plans, Heidi!

    Happy planning,
    ~ Dolly
