Hello, My family is Catholic and we will be in Disneyland during the Lent season. Are there quick seafood options for dining? Chicken and red meat are not allowed during this time and we still want to be able to eat in the park for lunch and dinner.

    Hi, Angelo!

Your trip to “The Happiest Place on Earth” will be here soon! It's a great time of year to visit, and you won’t have any problems finding delicious dining choices that accommodate a meatless diet.

If you have time for a sit-down breakfast, I suggest Carnation Café on Main Street, U.S.A. You’ll find menu items such as huevos rancheros, Mickey-shaped waffles (just ask your server to substitute the side of bacon or sausage for another side, such as seasonal fruit) and spinach and tomato egg white frittata. If you’re looking for a quick-service morning meal, stop by Tomorrowland Terrace for an order of French toast or a breakfast platter (scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and a biscuit) with fruit instead of bacon.

For lunch or dinner, Jolly Holiday Bakery Café at Disneyland Park has a tasty caprese sandwich with tomato, mozzarella and basil served on toasted focaccia bread and a favorite of mine, the tomato basil soup. French Market Restaurant offers a shrimp salad sandwich served on a toasted lobster roll. At Harbour Galley you’ll find clam chowder, vegetarian chili and grilled salmon salad.

My number one choice at Disney California Adventure Park is Pacific Wharf Cafe for a freshly-baked sourdough bread bowl filled with clam chowder or broccoli and cheese soup. Just a few steps away is Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, where you can indulge in a sweet treat to top off your meal. My favorite is the cookie bottom sundae.

Bon appetit, Angelo! Please feel free to ask more questions as you prepare for your pixie-dusted vacation.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
