    My family and I will be camping at Fort Wilderness 7/20-7/23 which is the weekend of my 8 year old son's birthday. We will not be visiting the parks on this visit, but would like to do something special for his b-day. Any ideas as to how we can do this?

    Happy birthday to your son! Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort has so many options for a fun, unique celebration for an eight year old boy.

    Want a special meal to mark the occasion? Fort Wilderness offers two dinner shows-Mickey's Backyard BBQ and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Enjoy ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, and more along with country music, dancing, and characters at the BBQ. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue offers a Wild West themed music and comedy show along a family style served meal.

    Want a great activity to to help celebrate birthday fun? Consider renting a motor boat, canoe, kayak, bicycles, or even a golf cart for the afternoon. Fishing is another good choice at Fort Wilderness.

    Want to enjoy some Western themed fun? Tri-Circle-D Ranch is located at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. The stables here have horseback riding, pony rides, and carriage tours.

    Want to enjoy a camp themed activity? Try the Chip 'n Dale Campfire Sing-a-long. Roast marshmallows for s'mores, meet Chip 'n Dale, sing traditional campfire songs, and then watch a classic Disney movie outside under the stars.

    Your son will have a wonderful birthday in such a magical place. Be sure to pick up a birthday celebration button for him from Guest Services on one of your park days. Enjoy!
