My family & brothers family are going to WDW in June, brother is a Wounded Warrior Vet & Volunteer heard of a Flag Retreat Ceremony held at MK in which Vets can participate & are presented a flag, does this still happen if so how can he apply?

Hi there Sarah! What an honor it is to help your family with a Walt Disney World vacation question!

At Magic Kingdom Park, there is a daily flag retreat ceremony to celebrate and pay homage to veterans! It takes place at 5:00 PM in the square at the entrance to Main Street USA. Walt Disney World Security and a special guest conduct the ceremony. Each day Magic Kingdom Entertainment selects a veteran at random to participate in this event so, it's not possible for your brother to sign-up or apply.

While not a guarantee, you might wish to encourage your brother to wear one of his Armed Forces t-shirts on the day of your visit to Magic Kingdom Park and spend some extra time chatting with the cast members at park opening.

Please thank your brother for his dedication and service to our country! Sending pixie-dust your way for a magical Disney vacation!
