We are a family of 5, our boy's ages are 11, 13, & 17. They all weigh over 115 lbs, will it still be ok for one of them to sleep on the Murphy bed in POR.

    Hi Jenny,

I believe that the recommended rule of thumb is 9 years and younger.  I'm not so sure it has to do with weight.  Rather, I think it would have more to do with size.  The beds are smaller and have thinner mattresses than regular beds, so your children might not be comfortable sleeping in it.

I know it's a bigger expense, but the extra beds at the Deluxe Resorts are quite comfortable.  They convert into regular twin beds.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
