We are a family of 4 (2 boys ages 4 and 8). We are coming to Disney December 28, 2013-Jan 4, 2014. I was wondering if the dining plan covers New Years Eve Specials?

    Hi Tracy!
I am going to have to say that it depends on the restaurant where you are eating and what dining plan you have. There are several levels of dining plan covering everything from quick service (counter service) meals to a "platinum" dining plan that covers you from soup to nuts and back to soup again. Also, some locations, including character dining, the dinner "shows" (think Hoop de Doo Revue) and some of the finer restaurants on property, considered Signature Dining locations, charge 2 meal credits per diner/per meal. I haven't even factored in the holidays, or any "prix fixe", or "set price" menus.
The Dining Plan seems to constantly be a moving target with participating restaurants and prices changing often. Thus, I think the best thing to do is to go ahead and plan a spectacular evening out (remember to do it 180 days in advance of your trip) for New Years Eve at a participating Walt Disney World restaurant and then see what the "meal entitlement" is for that night.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical trip to end 2013!! :)
