Hi, my family will be booking for a grand gathering- 2 separate families. Do we need to call the GG Line at the same time or can they be separate phone calls? Also, when you book 499 in advance, it is true that you can only book a "room only" res

    Hi Jennifer!

Grand Gatherings are such a wonderful way for families to coordinate their Disney vacations!  You may most certainly make two separate phone calls to book your vacation.  Whoever calls first, simply let the Cast Member know that you would like to book a Grand Gathering and they will give you a "Grand Gathering Number."  Just give that number to the other family and have them use it when they add on their vacation.  It will be two separate reservations, but linked together by the Grand Gathering number.  It will be handled this way regardless of whether you call together or separately.

Also, it is true that booking so far in advance will allow you to book a room only reservation.  When the prices and packages are announced for your vacation time, you will have to call in and actually rebook your vacation.  It is far from convenient, but the good news is that your room will be held for you while your package is rebooked.  If however you want the room only and not the tickets, you will not need to rebook.  Sorry this is so confusing!

Have a fabulous vacation and enjoy every second of your time together!
