Hey there, Amber! Let me start by letting you know you aren't the only one who has been in this tough situation, and you have a friend in me. Let's see what we can do to troubleshoot this for your family.
First, please encourage your parents to directly contact the place where they purchased the gift cards and see if they have a department or representative who can help. It would be helpful if your parents have proof of purchase on hand. If the gift cards were purchased directly from Disney, they will want to contact the
Disney+ Help Center. I read a bit of the fine print on the
Disney+ Gift Card site, and the terms state: "The Cards are not refundable except as required by applicable law." I would not hesitate to reach out to the
24-hour support to chat through this issue with an Agent. Amber, I know you are hoping for an easy resolution to this mix-up. I will wish on the evening star, just like Princess Tiana, for a perfect solution!
While we're here, I'd love to point out the fact that you're visiting Walt Disney World Resort at one of my favorite times of the year! Autumn brings the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival as well as lots of
spook-tacular fun throughout the theme parks. There's fall-time fun for everyone in your party, and I just know you'll have a blast!
Amber, please come back to see us at planDisney if you have any questions we can answer about your upcoming vacation. We know how exciting the countdown is, and we believe purposeful planning is a big part of the fun!
Remember, YOU are the magic!
Jennifer
