Welcome aboard, Kim! Congratulations on booking your Disney Magic cruise. That sounds like the perfect way to start out 2015! I've sailed a few different times in January and have really enjoyed escaping the chilly weather back home to relax in the warm waters of the Caribbean with Disney Cruise Line!
While attire nights and schedules are always subject to change, most likely you can expect your seven-night Magic Western Caribbean sailing to include the following:
Formal Night - night two
Semi Formal Night - night six
Pirate Night - fourth night or fifth night
Of course, you'll want to verify that once you're onboard and receive your Personal Navigator which will list the events and activities as well as attire for each evening. I suggest booking Palo for Semi-Formal night. You have to dress up for Palo anyway, and it's a nice way to round out the end of your cruise. You won't miss Pirate Night that way, and your kids won't have to bring two fancy outfits to wear, since they can get dressed up with you on Formal Night, but can then go casual and enjoy dinner with friends in the Youth Clubs on Semi-Formal night while you sneak away for date night at Palo!
There are two show times each evening, one around 6:15 for those who have second seating to enjoy before they head to dinner, and one around 8:30 for those who have first seating to enjoy after they've had dinner. If you don't want to miss the show, simply make your Palo reservations for 7:30 or later and you can easily attend the first show before heading to Palo. And while we're talking about spots just for adults on the Magic, check out this video about what is new on the re-imagined Disney Magic,
Just For Adults! You're in for such fun!
I hope those details help as you continue to plan your Magic cruise, Kim!
