We are a family of 4 booked for the Galactic Starcruiser adventure May 30 - June 1. We would like to add on to our vacation staying at the Grand Floridian, concierge level with admission to Disney World and Animal Kingdom. What is the best way to plan?

Hi Louisa! Welcome to planDisney! It's always great to talk Disney with a fellow Palmetto State resident!

Oh boy! Just a couple of months until you take off on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser! Your family must be so excited about this journey you are about to embark on! From everything I have seen so far, get ready for the most immersive experience that Walt Disney World has to offer. Your family will have a full itinerary to follow, including dining, activities, and interactive storytelling. I’ve been told to be ready for several surprises as well.

I can’t imagine a better way to follow up this portion of your trip than with a stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! This is a dream hotel that comes equipped with deluxe amenities, elegance, and charm! Add on a club-level room with secured key access to the Royal Palm Club lounge, and you have yourself an amazing second leg of your vacation planned. You’ll need to add theme park tickets to your stay to visit any of the four theme parks. This resort has plenty of transportation options, so you are only a short monorail or boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom Park. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is as easy to get to as hopping on a bus outside of your resort.

Your first step will be to head over to the Walt Disney World Resort website and enter the dates you wish to stay. A list of available hotels and room types will display, and you can choose which one will be best for your family. Once you decide on your room, you will then have the option to add multi-day park tickets to your package. A standard park ticket will allow you access to one park per day while adding on the Park Hopper Option will allow you to visit multiple parks on the same day. Once you have made your purchase, you will need to secure your reservations for the parks you want to visit on select days. To do so, log in to your My Disney Experience account and link your resort and tickets to your account. You’ll need your hotel confirmation number and ticket ID code to be able to link them. Once this is completed, select "Park Reservations", and then select which parks you want to visit on certain days.

If you prefer to have someone else take care of the planning for you, I suggest reaching out to an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner for help. They will be able to book your entire stay and take care of all the details for you. Simply perform a Google search for Authorized Disney Vacation Planners and many companies will appear. Pick the one that seems will work best for you and contact them for assistance. The best part about using this type of service is there is no extra cost to you! You will pay the same amount for your vacation as if you planned it yourself!

Louisa, I hope this information helps you plan the rest of your stay. Have a magical time on your visit!

May the Force be with you on your voyage!
