Ahoy, Malinda!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise Line adventure! You're going to love sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey and his friends! I can still remember the first time I stepped into the Lobby Atrium during my first Disney Cruise. Many cruises later, I still get the feeling of butterflies and excitement in my tummy stepping aboard the ship!
You've chosen a beautiful itinerary for your inaugural voyage! At this time, U.S. citizens setting sail aboard a Disney Cruise from a U.S. port of call, and returning to that same U.S. port of call, do not need a valid passport. The adults in your family will need a government-issued photo I.D. (like a driver's license) and a state-issued birth certificate. Since your kiddos are under the age of 16, they will just need copies of their state-issued birth certificates as their proof of citizenship! Prior to your upcoming cruise, definitely check out the
Passports & Travel Documentation information found on Disney Cruise Line's website for the most up-to-date requirements!
Even though passports aren't required for all itineraries, Disney Cruise Line highly recommends traveling with them. It might be cutting it close for this upcoming cruise, but I recommend thinking about getting them for everyone in your pirate crew for the next voyage! (I just know you'll fall in love with cruising and schedule a second future cruise!)
Wishing you a magical inaugural voyage!
Beth
