Hi there, Kathleen! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sailing our way with your question!
Oh boy! Congratulations on your first Disney Cruise! I'm planning for an upcoming voyage in the next few weeks on the
Disney Wonder so I have been doing some weather-related research myself! I'd love to share what I have found. Your magical vacation will set sail from
San Diego. This beautiful seaside city averages high temperatures of 66 degrees Fahrenheit and low temperatures of 51 degrees Fahrenheit in February with an average of four rainy days in the month.
Your first port of call will be
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. As you approach this port, you will feel the temperatures begin to rise. Cabo averages high temperatures of 81 degrees Fahrenheit and lows of 61 degrees Fahrenheit in February. In the afternoon, you might find yourself enjoying the warmer weather by the pools onboard or while exploring in port. It will be the day you can ditch your lightweight sweater or jacket.
As you begin your return journey toward San Diego, your final port of call will be
Ensenada, Mexico. The average temperatures in Ensenada in the month of February are 68 degrees Fahrenheit for the high temperature and 50 degrees Fahrenheit for the low. The weather there is similar to San Diego, which should make
packing easy.
As you will be cruising along with beautiful ocean views, I do recommend a sweater or jacket for evening strolls onboard. I'm the opposite of Elsa and the cold bothers me immediately, so I do enjoy the opportunity to snuggle up with complimentary blankets and hot cocoa near the Funnel Vision when the temperatures begin to dip onboard. This itinerary will also provide you with a great opportunity to enjoy the whirlpool spas on the Wonder.
Have the best time with Captains Minnie and Mickey! Please cruise to planDisney again if you have further questions for us. My pals and I are here and happy to help you, rain or shine!
