My family booked a Disney vacation. We are staying at the Polynesian Resort. We did not purchase a disney dining plan, but we want to eat at Character Dining. Should I book a dining plan?

    Hi Susan,

You absolutely do not have to participate in a Disney Dining Plan to enjoy breakfast, lunch of dinner with some of Disney's finest stars.  Simply make an advanced dining reservation up to 180 days before your arrival by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE (939-3463).  Some of my family's favorites include Chef Mickey's, Cape May Buffet (for breakfast) and Crystal Palace.

The Disney Dining Plans can be a great value if you feel that your family will use all (or most) of your credits, however, participating in a plan is certainly not necessary for character dining (or to dine anywhere) at Walt Disney World.

    Have a magical trip!
