My family is booked at campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. We drive 24 hours all the way from Canada, so we are trying to plan our check in day. If we do virtual check in, will we be able to use the free water park pass before 3pm check in?

    Hi Angela,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a planning question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort adventure! I’m always excited to chat with a fellow Canadian. Your plans remind me so much of my own family’s recent trip - we also drove down (a few more hours than you’ll be travelling) and stayed in the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The road trip was smooth, and our whole stay was absolutely incredible!

I’m happy to share that whether you check in online or in person, you’ll still be able to take advantage of the 2025 Water Park Benefit for Disney Resort hotel Guests on your reservation’s check-in day. On our arrival, we stayed off-site the first night, then headed straight to the water park once our Disney Resort stay officially began. Keep an eye on your My Disney Experience app - your complimentary water park admission will appear right alongside your theme park tickets. If you don’t have Disney Bands (called MagicBands in the U.S.), you can create a MagicMobile pass for each member of your travel party and simply scan in from your phone.

Good news - there is no need to pack towels; both Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (Singapore Sal’s) and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (The Beach Haus) currently provide them at no cost.

When you check in at Fort Wilderness, be sure to grab an activity guide. This is where you'll find all of the information for resort activities, from Movies Under the Stars to horseback riding or even canoe rentals. My kids loved heading to Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long near the Meadow Trading Post. We got to hang out with Chip 'n' Dale while they were wandering the grounds before the Sing-A-Long. If you'd like to roast marshmallows, you can either bring your own marshmallows and sticks or you can purchase a s'mores kit from the Chuckwagon Snack Bar. If marshmallows are all you're missing, you can pop into the Meadow Trading Post for a package.

My daughters loved hanging around the resort and riding in the golf cart. If you haven't already set up a rental and would like to, be sure to call soon to reserve, as they do fill up. We got a kick out of seeing how people decorated their golf carts with floaties, lights and all sorts of decorations so they were easily identifiable. We've now got ideas for our next trip!

I hope you have a fantastic stay at The Campsites at Fort Wilderness, Angela. Wishing you a safe drive down! If you have any other questions, don't be shy to reach out -  I'd love to help.

    Happy planning!
    Candace
