Hi, my family and i will beturning to Disney in may and i just read an article about visiting the beaches at the poly or the grand even though your not staying at those resorts. My daughter would love being in the sand, if this is possible. Any news on thi

Hi Lisa!  Touring the other Disney resorts is welcomed as many guests tour and find future spots where they would like to stay.  While you are touring you can head down to the beach area but please understand that there is absolutely no swimming so you will just have the sand to play with.

During holiday and heavy tourism times these resorts might restrict you from the beach areas where guests often linger to watch the evening Wishes show. This after all is a privilege for staying at this particular resort and if everyone else came to take up the spots it would be quite unfair.

The best place to stay and enjoy sand and swim is the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. This large pool area they share is called Stormalong Bay and has a large area of sandy bottom pool. Kids love to run in and out and pretend they are actually on a Florida beach. This pool is closed to all guests except those two resorts. For many it s truly an incentive to stay there.
