    How does a family become the family that "opens" the Magic Kingdom? We are celebrating my daughter's graduation in June and this would certainly make her accomplishment more magical.

    Hello Tonya! First of all - congratulations to your daughter - graduation is a big milestone and I can't think of any place better to celebrate!

    Unfortunately, there are no details on how they pick the lucky family each morning - it's pure magic at its best!  However, a few of us moms were *almost* selected for this opportunity the day of Magic Kingdom's 40th anniversary (I say almost as a cast member told us we were about to be selected until someone came over to interview us and they didn't want to disturb us.  So close!!).  I can tell you some of the things we did which may or may not have helped.

    First, we arrived very early and we were first in line at one of the turnstiles.  We were wearing matching shirts.  Thanks to Disney Dad Wes, we had dance moves memorized that we used for a Flash Mob earlier in the weekend and we started to dance.  We also sang...and we were also very happy!  Bottom line, we drew attention to ourselves without being too obnoxious.
