Hi ! Me and my family are going to the bahamian cruise in july 2011! According to the packing policies, irons are not allowed on the disney dream cruise, what about hair irons, are they allowed? I have huge hair so my iron is very important in my trips!

Oh, Florencia...if any one understands "huge hair," it's me! My hair could have it's own zip code when the wind and the humidity are factors!

You are right in the fact that irons are not allowed on board Disney Cruise Line ships.  There are Guest Laundry rooms which have irons and ironing boards to use complimentary, and you can always send clothes out to be laundered or pressed.

Curling irons and hair straightening irons are allowed on board and in your stateroom. I suggest that you purchase a cooling sleeve in which to store your hair iron. My daughter recently got one, and we love that you can unplug the iron and not have to wait for it to cool to store it. If you leave your hair iron plugged in (but off), you may find that your stateroom host/hostess has unplugged it for safety reasons.

I also like to have my hair washed and styled professionally at Senses Salon. The products they use and the wonderful scalp massage they give are simply divine, and I then touch up with the hair iron to keep my hair "tamed" throughout the day.  Of course, you'll definitely want to keep a hair band near by since the wind on deck can make huge hair a problem.  Sometimes, the best hair-do on board is a pony tail...especially if you plan on riding the AquaDuck!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
