    Our family would like to come back to WDW when they tape the 2011 Christmas Day parade. Could you tell me how to get more information on when it will be and what we would have to do to be invited to the parade ???

    Hi Edwin!
    I have a best guess for you and a definite answer for you. WHEN the parade taping takes place varies from year to year and is not officially scheduled as I write to you. It has taken place the first weekend in December each of the last few years. In fact, when I was at my Moms Panel training in 2009, our photo shoot was relocated because the Jonas Brothers needed to film their segment for Christmas Day and it had rained the day/night before. So even when filming days are scheduled, they are always subject to change due to weather, issues with "talent", etc. It is a best guess that this will hold true for 2011 as well (ie the first weekend). For a more exact date, keep checking the Disney Parks Blog throughout the summer, and be sure to watch www.waltdisneyworld.com as well.
    As for being invited, there is nothing special you need to do. Filming takes place during regular park hours, and you and your family could easily find yourselves as extras in a shoot. I'll look for you in next year's parade!
