Hi, our family have just got back from 14 days at the WL and loved it. Coming from Australia requires plenty of planning. So my question is we want to come back probably Dec 2009, how far in advance do the room rates get released?

How exciting to hear from someone in Nemo's stomping grounds (or whatever that would be called for a fish)!  Good to know that you had a great trip, and even better to know that it was such a good trip that you are already excited to go back again!

As you probably already know, you can reserve rooms by phone up to 499 days in advance, but the room rates aren't released until later.  Unfortunately there isn't a consistent historical date when the rates are released.  Rates for 2005 to 2007 were released in May for the subsequent years.  Rates for 2008 weren't released until early August 2007.  So it would seem reasonable to expect the rates for 2009 to be released by early August, but I can't guarantee an exact date.

If you want more information on historical release dates for "rack rates" and "discount rates", I recommend you visit and use the search tool to look for "release dates for room rates."  You should be able to find at the top of the results list, a link to an amazing list of historical release dates for practically all types of room rates.
