Hi Rita! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The
Rider Switch Service is exactly what you need so that you and your family can enjoy the attractions that your 3 year old is not quite ready for.
To use the service, your entire family will go to the queue entrance and let the Cast Member know you will be using Rider Switch. The first group will enter the attraction while an adult and your little one will enjoy time together outside of the attraction.
Group 1 will be given a Rider Switch Pass and will proceed through the queue. It's important that they place the Rider Switch Pass in a secure location while they enjoy the attraction.
When the 1st group finishes the attraction, they will meet up with the second group and give the remaining Guests the Rider Switch Pass. Group 2 will proceed to the attraction, show the Cast Member the Rider Switch Pass and proceed through the FastPass+ queue. Up to 2 Guests are allowed to use the Rider Switch Pass.
It's such a great service and will give the adults the opportunity to share some special one-on-one time with your 3 year old. In the past, our kiddos would use Rider Switch time to enjoy an attraction geared toward a younger crowd, a snack or sometimes a nap.
I hope this helps you with your planning. Please let us know if you need any further information as you plan your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
