Aloha Emily,
Thanks for asking another great question about
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. It’s so wonderful that you’ll be kicking off 2025 with your family while visiting Aulani! I just returned from a Disney vacation with my mom who has mobility issues and required a scooter so I understand the planning that is required. Let’s take a look!
I spoke with a Cast Member at the resort and unfortunately, the resort does not currently offer wheelchair or mobility aid rentals. She did mention that there are several companies that rent wheelchairs or ECV’s and they will deliver directly to the resort.
While you’re at Aulani, you’ll notice that everything is wheelchair accessible. There are wheelchair accessible rooms and you can access the entire resort - even the beach and pool area! The
Waikolohe Valley Pool area is accessible with a zero entry area where Guests can roll right in using a water wheelchair provided by the resort. There is also a pool lift to assist with transfers. At the beach, you’ll find
complimentary beach wheelchairs that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s important to note that these are sand wheelchairs and are not designed to be used in the water. If you’d like to use one of these sand wheelchairs, head to Makiki Joe’s and a Cast Member will assist you between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction, Emily. If I can help with any other questions, please
let me know!
Make magical memories,
Candace
