Hi there, Michael! Welcome back to planDisney!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite
Walt Disney World Resort events, so I'm glad that you came to us with this spooktacular question! One of the best things about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that everyone, including adults, is welcome to dress in costume while attending this special event. I have plans to go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party with some of my fellow planDisney panelists later this fall, and we're super excited about our costumes! We plan to dress as some of our favorite
Magic Kingdom Park attractions.
One reason why adults aren't permitted to dress in costume during regular theme park hours is that we wouldn't want anyone to confuse a Guest with one of the actual Disney characters. However, we expect to see Guests dressed as their favorite Disney heroes and villains during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It's perfectly fine for adults and children alike to dress as Disney characters during this special event, as long as they refrain from posing for photos or signing autographs for other Guests. As you and your family plan your Halloween costumes, please refer to these
rules and guidelines. In particular, you'll want to make sure that your costumes do not reach or drag on the ground and that any capes are waist-length or shorter.
During Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, be sure to catch
Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade. I hear that Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle are also dressing up as the Sanderson Sisters for the parade this year. You'll also want to take in a performance of the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show where you can see the real Sanderson Sisters run amuck, amuck, amuck with some of their Disney villain friends.
As you get ready for your trip, head over to the
