Hi there, Amit! Welcome to planDisney!
One of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line is its commitment to accommodating guests' personal needs. As a fellow Disney cruiser with dietary restrictions, I understand your desire to ensure that your dietary needs are met. I would be happy to explain how Disney Cruise Line will
meet your dietary guidelines—making 'food' one of the best parts of your trip!
Each night, your family will be assigned to have dinner at one of the three main restaurants on board. A dedicated Dining Team will be assigned to your family and will rotate with you each evening. This is Disney Cruise Line’s unique
Rotational Dining concept, and it will be one of the best parts of your Disney cruise! You can find your Rotational Dining schedule on the first day of your cruise in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.
Rotational Dining is awesome because your Dining Team really gets to know your dining preferences and favorites. They will also ensure that any dietary preferences are met. You can indicate a vegetarian diet on board your cruise using either the Disney Cruise Line website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Open up your reservation and click on “Special Requests”, then click “Dietary Preferences”. Here, you can indicate any dietary preferences, including vegetarian. After doing this, I highly suggest
contacting Disney Cruise Line and letting them know of your dietary preference to ensure that any specific requests are noted.
While on board, your Dining Team will ensure that your meals are vegetarian. While not guaranteed, in my family's experience, we've been able to choose plenty of dishes from the menu that meet our dietary preferences. The chef works with your Dining Team to help with this. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the lunch, dinner, and buffet menus daily. This also carries over to the
adult dining restaurants, should you choose to dine there!
While you can't request specific cuisines, such as Indian dishes, Disney Cruise Line does a great job of regularly incorporating many different cuisines! I’ve had many delicious Mexican, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and Norwegian dishes, and many more! They are usually available at Marceline Market for lunch. There are also plenty of vegetarian options there daily. As for cuisine-specific dishes in the main restaurants, it’s dependent on the restaurant and theme. For example, one of my favorite dishes during
Pirate Night is a vegetable samosa appetizer. I always look forward to it!
A restaurant you can look forward to on board the
Disney Destiny is
Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, as it features many African-inspired flavors, such as curry options. As these are some of my favorite flavors, I can't wait to try this restaurant on board!
Amit, I hope I reassured you that your Disney cruise will be filled with delicious vegetarian Disney dishes! I wish you delightful memories on board! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Step Into Your Destiny,
Rana
