Hey Howdy Hey Kenneth and welcome to planDisney!
Your Magical vacation is just a few weeks away and one thing we here at planDisney can appreciate is a great plan to manage your time in the parks. Thank you for stopping by with your question about managing the crowds during your upcoming trip. Let's go over a few tips and tricks on how to do so and get you the best vacation experience.
One thing I would highly recommend is looking at a crowd calendar. If you do an internet search for "Disney World Crowd Calendar" you will find a whole bunch of options at no cost. These calendars will give you expectations on crowd levels and recommendations on which parks to attend and which you might want to stay away from due to crowd-level expectations. Since you will be there over a holiday weekend, this will be busier than the rest of the month but still very manageable.
The one big tip I would give you is to save your second Magic Kingdom day for the end of your trip. Most of the crowds will be gone and you will have a much better experience in Magic Kingdom with the lower levels. I am always a big fan of starting and ending a vacation at the Magic Kingdom if possible. EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom can all be shuffled based on what you feel with the crowd levels. EPCOT is a rather big park and keeping this early can be a benefit as it feels this park is better able to accommodate large crowds due to the size. Hollywood Studios is great but I feel this park fills up quickly and lines get super long super fast. Keep this park during the week when crowd levels are lower and you will have a much better time!
Another thing to consider especially during busy times is utilizing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass options. These will cost an extra fee but during busy times can be huge so you can experience more of the park and spend less time waiting in line for attractions. I would recommend you consider either option at least for the first day or so you are in the parks with the higher crowd levels. As the crowds lessen over the week, it may not be quite as necessary.
I hope this helps give you some areas of guidance when planning your trip to make the most of your park time. There is so much going on in the parks and one of the better times to experience as the temperatures will be a break from up north and a much better time to spend all day in the parks. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know, we are always happy to help!
