    We are a family of 5 arriving at MCO the evening prior to our cruise sail date on DCL of February 10, 2011. We would like to take a private SUV from MCO hotel to Port Canaveral. What time should I tell the rental car company to pick us up?

    Hi Margaret,

    Personally, I like to get to the port early, and get a low boarding group number (guests board the ship in groups based on a first-come-first-served basis).  If it were me, I would request my pickup from Orlando International Airport to be at 9:30 a.m.  The drive to the port typically takes about 45 minutes so you should arrive just in time for the terminal to open.  It has been my experience that whenever possible, they start boarding earlier than 1:00 p.m.
